Organic cotton, upcycled deckchairs, riso-print on recycled paper
The Nottingham Weather Station, 2023-2024
The Weather Station uses sentiment analysis data for how people in Nottingham feel about climate change, and translates this into a multisensory public art experience at the Nottingham Green Festival in summer 2023, during the intense heatwaves. The installation mapped the data into Nottingham’s landscape at different degrees of warming, the deckchairs and fan-maps provided climate warming infrastructure and the weather report articulated all of these in the style of the shipping forecast. The project is ongoing and iterative.
